Pixotick: EU Omnibus Price - Privacy Policy

Pixotick: EU Omnibus Price ("the App") provides price history tracking and lowest-price display functionality ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their online stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

The App is operated by Pixotick, an independent software development brand run by Dmitry, an individual developer based in the Republic of Belarus.

What Personal Information We Collect

When you install the App, we automatically receive certain information from your Shopify account that is necessary to provide the Service, including:

  • Your shop name, shop domain, and store owner email address
  • Shopify access tokens required for the App to function

To provide the Service, the App also stores product price data: for each product variant in your store, the App records the selling price, the compare-at price, and the date and time the price changed. This is commercial product data, not personal information.

We do not collect any personal information from your store's customers. The App does not place cookies, tracking pixels, localStorage entries, or any other tracking technologies on your customers' devices. The lowest-price badge shown on your product pages is rendered entirely by Shopify from your store's own product metadata and makes no requests to our servers.

Shopify API Access Scopes

The App requests the following Shopify API access scopes to provide its functionality:

  • write_products – to read product and variant prices and to store the calculated lowest price as product metafields
  • read_themes – to detect whether the App's theme extension is enabled in your published theme

The App does not request access to orders, customers, or any other data. We access only the data necessary to provide the App's functionality and do not use it for any other purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
  • Calculate and display the lowest price for the applicable reference period
  • Communicate with you regarding the App (for example, support requests or important updates)
  • Respond to your questions and requests

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to operating the App.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information only in the following circumstances:

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes
  • To respond to lawful requests from public authorities
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

Data Retention

We retain your shop information and product price history for as long as you have the App installed. Price history records older than approximately 100 days are automatically deleted, except for the most recent record for each variant, which is retained so that the reference price can continue to be calculated correctly.

When you uninstall the App, we delete your shop data and your entire price history from our systems within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it for a longer period.

GDPR Compliance (European Residents)

If you are a European resident, you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction, update, or deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your personal information
  • Request data portability

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

We process your information to fulfill our contractual obligations to you (providing the App's Service) and to pursue our legitimate business interests. Please note that your information may be transferred and stored outside of the European Economic Area.

CCPA Compliance (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal data, and opt out of the sale of your personal data. We do not sell personal data.

Mandatory Shopify Webhooks

In accordance with Shopify's requirements, the App handles the following mandatory compliance webhooks:

  • customers/data_request – to provide customer data upon request. The App stores no customer data, so there is none to provide.
  • customers/redact – to delete customer data upon request. The App stores no customer data.
  • shop/redact – to delete all shop data, including the complete price history, after the App is uninstalled

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. All communication between the App and Shopify is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
