Pixotick: Omnibus & GPSR — Privacy Policy

Pixotick: Omnibus & GPSR ("the App") records price history and publishes product safety information ("the Service") for merchants who run their online store on Wix. This Privacy Policy describes what information the App receives, what it stores, and where that data lives when you install or use the App on your Wix site.

The App is operated by Pixotick, an independent software development brand run by Dmitry, an individual developer based in the Republic of Belarus.

Where Your Data Lives

This is the shortest and most important section of this policy: the App has no database of its own. Everything it records is written into your own Wix site.

  • On a site running the Wix Stores Catalog V3, price history and product safety values are stored in the App's own namespace of each product's extended fields — that is, on the product itself.
  • On a site running Catalog V1, where products have no extended fields, the same data is stored in a CMS collection the App creates on your site.
  • App settings — the reference window, the badge wording and colours, and your store-wide safety information — are stored in a second CMS collection on your site.

The App's backend runs on Wix's own hosting. It holds no copy of your catalogue, your prices, or your safety information on any server of ours.

What Information We Receive

To provide the Service, the App receives from Wix only what it needs to run:

  • The identifier of your app instance, and whether that instance is on the free or the paid plan, so the App knows which features to offer
  • Confirmation that the person opening the App's screens is a user of your Wix dashboard, so that nobody else can reach them
  • Your product catalogue as you edit it: product identifiers, names, slugs and prices

We do not receive or store your customers' personal information. The App does not read orders, contacts, or member data, and does not ask for permission to do so.

What the App Stores About Your Products

  • Price history — for each product, the day and the price of every change the App observes, and the currency those prices were recorded in. At most 75 points are kept per product; older points fall off as new ones arrive.
  • Product safety information — the manufacturer, the EU responsible person, product identifiers and safety warnings you enter, either for the whole shop or for a single product.

This is commercial product data, not personal information.

Your Storefront and Your Visitors

The lowest-price badge and the product safety block run in your visitor's browser as part of your product page. They read the data described above through Wix's own APIs and render it on the page. They set no cookies, no localStorage entries, no tracking pixels, and they make no requests to Pixotick. We receive nothing when a shopper views your page.

Permissions the App Requests

The App asks for the access it needs to do its job and nothing beyond it:

  • Wix Stores — to read your products and their prices, and to write the App's own fields back onto them
  • Wix Data — to create and use the two CMS collections described above
  • App instance — to read your plan, so paid features are offered only where they are paid for

How We Use Information

The information is used to run the Service: to record price changes, to calculate the lowest price of the reference period at the moment your page is shown, to publish the safety information you entered, and to answer you when you write to support. We do not use it for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to operating the App.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. The only company that processes it alongside us is Wix, which hosts both your site and the App's backend. We may disclose information only:

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes
  • To respond to lawful requests from public authorities
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

Data Retention and Deletion

Because the data lives on your site, you decide how long it is kept. Uninstalling the App ends its access to your site immediately. The price history and safety values already written to your products and collections remain there, as they are your data and your product pages may still be relying on them; you can delete the collections, or clear the App's fields, at any time.

GDPR (European Residents)

If you are a European resident, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. The practical answer in our case is short: the only personal information we hold is what you send us when you contact support. To exercise any of these rights, write to the address below; we respond within 30 days.

We process information to fulfil our contractual obligation to provide the Service and to pursue our legitimate interest in operating and supporting it.

CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal data is collected and how it is used, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal data.

Data Security

All communication between the App, your site, and Wix is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS, and the App's screens are reachable only to users of your Wix dashboard. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
